The young Queen Alexandra. Her sister, Maria Feodorovna was the mother of Nicholas II. Their respective children, King George V and Nicholas were thus first cousins, which explains the striking resemblance between them.

This is a poster for Grand Duchess Olga’s Charity Committee for Displaced Families during the Great War. It says: “Petersburg Committee of Her Imperial Highness Grand Duchess Olga Nicholaevna: To provide charity assistance to families displaced by war. “ Grand Duchess Olga went to St. Petersburg at least once a week during the war to personally collect donations for the beneficiaries of her charity.
