use this project when I start my multiplication unit to teach repeated addition, groups of, commutative property, and arrays. You could also replace one with a multiplication word problem and picture.

Use in third grade. Give students 12 pieces of paper and ask them to cut in half, thirds, fourths, fifths, sixths up to twelfths. Easy to determine 1/2-14s. What about fifths, etc.
