Bark At The Moon is probably my all-time favorite Ozzy Osbourne CD. I sometimes forget how HUGE an influence Jake E. Lee's playing has been to me, until I listen to this. Then I immediately remember......Randy.

Radio XVII, side B, track 1: “Bark At The Moon” by Ozzy Osbourne: Oh, Ozzy Osbourne, hell YEAH! Hell being the operative word here. I wasn’t exposed to a lot of HEAVY heavy metal in my youth. I heard peripherally about artists like yourself, Ozzy Osbourne, but it was strongly encouraged by my youth group that I not listen to that type of music. The devil was very much in the details, especially the detailed i.e. explicit lyrics of music.

Do you remember watching Ozzy Osbourne music videos on TV, when you were younger? Boy, I do! But then I wasn't a big Ozzy fan. That came later! When I was 12, when MTV's Headbanger's Ball first aired Dream Theater's "Pull Me Under" I was totally blown away. I had never realized the guitar could be played so fast before I heard John Petrucci's scale runs after the words "one less to my last" in this song. Images and Words still remains one of my favorite albums and biggest musical inspirations of all time.
