Opening Ceremony Blog Exclusive - Spike Jonze Presents: Lil Buck and Yo-Yo Ma. The other day, I was lucky enough to be at an event to bring the arts back into schools and got to see an amazing collaboration between Yo-Yo Ma and a young dancer in LA, Lil Buck. Someone who knows Yo-Yo Ma had seen Lil Buck on YouTube and put them together. The dancing is Lil Buck's own creation and unlike anything I've seen. Hope you enjoy. --Spike Jonze,

Yo Yo Ma and the dancer, Lil Buck, come together in a beautiful collaboration of genres. This video was (I am guessing) filmed by Spike Jonze at an event he attended in April of 2011 to bring the arts back into schools. From what I can gather it was filmed somewhere in L.A.

Last night's performance by Yo Yo Ma with the Assad Brothers and Kathryn Stott was a once in a lifetime event. To have the opportunity to see this caliber of artist is amazing..front row seats no less! Yo Yo Ma is a very personable performer. Intense...yes...but also having a whole lot of fun on stage with his fellow performers never once up-staging anyone.
