Easy Crock Pot Pot Roast - makes its own gravy! Sounds yum. Onion soup dry mix & cream of mushroom soup. ~HUGE success! Perfect! Gravy was wonderful & the roast was SO tender!! This is now my pot roast recipe! I passed it to my sister who raved about it :) Success.
Easy Crock Pot Pot Roast with Gravy . Nancy's Notes: Easy . Not bad .I cooked for 8 hours and roast was very tender .Do not go with just one can of mushroom soup as it will be too salty or if you do do not use the whole pack of onion soup mix . Make a roux of butter and flour and add to half the sauce at the end to thicken . I have added dried mushrooms soaked in hot water at the beginning of the cooking process. Add chopped mushrooms and a little of the soaking liquid . Not sure if it makes a huge difference to the end product.
