This is similar to a craft I do for family when they hit a significant birthday only mine is not in a book format but in a frame such as "Forty Things I love about Jules" for my sister's 40th. Love this idea with a deck of cards! SO creative!
My Kindergarten teacher gave us potatoes and we carved hearts in them, tempra paint and wit dipped our hearts in them and then she did this on manilla envelopes, at the end of the day we took home all of our valentine cards in the envelope she carefully sealed with the little strings!.
you could make these books and use them for all kind of great curriculum and building skills, could be all nature with different leafs or multi culture/ anti basic and pick a country to pit in them, American sign language is awesome one as well. Little kids love these kinds of things from 12 months up to st least school age.
How cute would it be to keep a journal everyday for a year of something my husband did eachday that took my breath away and give it to him on New Years Eve when the ball drops. I couldn't imagine a more heartfelt gift Do it while you can. Love you Mike
