"I’ve got two daughters who will have to make their way in this skinny-obsessed world, and it worries me, because I don’t want them to be empty-headed, self-obsessed, emaciated clones; I’d rather they were independent, interesting, idealistic, kind, opinionated, original, funny - a thousand things, before ‘thin’. ♥ to Erin and Hayley. I have already considered myself blessed to your mom, but now that you are grown up I am overwhelmed by the magnitude of blessings in that we are also friends. I am so very proud of each of you. All my love, all my life and beyond xoxo
True, I'm so happy that our first child was a daughter. I never forget that moment when she told us: you've got a daughter. She was born a few hours before my day of birth, she was the best gift on my birthday ever! A very special moment. Always when I think about that moment, it makes me feel verry happy. Then we got another daughter and some years later a son! What could we wish for more?
I love this!!<< this is TRUE of motherhood, it develops you in a way that is amazing, people can tell you but until you have children yourself, it is just unknown. My children have taught me so much about myself and about life. I am a better person individually because of them!
So true. I remember a day when my heart was broken and my little girl who was 4 at the time jumped into my arms and said "you are my best friend mommy." My sad tears became happy tears.
