I had my logo professionally designed, then designed the card myself on UPrinting.com using the same color scheme. I got the idea for the contrasting stripe along the lower edge from other examples I saw on the same site.
I wanted something fairly traditional and classic, and I had a specific color scheme and certain themes in mind. I also wanted "branding," so I asked the designer to do letterhead, envelopes, and notes in the same batch. I was very pleased with the end result. Printer: http://www.gotprint.com
I tried a number of self-designed cards before this one. I shamelessly stole the design from the incomparable book Typography for Lawyers. The type is light grey, and I love the classic elegance. I had them printed at print place.com Self Designed with Template Template Designer Matthew Butterick
I wanted simple, clean lines, no pictures, black text (sans serif) on white background with only my logo adding a punch of color. Tag line: Labor | Employment | OSHA - quick and to the point. Color is orange and grey but seem cold and will likely change to warmer shades Self Designed
I wanted a logo that exuded optimism, and what better colors do that than aqua and yellow? The actual card is brighter than the picture shown. I came up with the tagline myself, and my graphic designer took care of the rest . Her name is Sandra Busta, and she's on etsy.
