Sight Word Hunt (25 High-Frequency Words) K, First Grade

This is a great activity to keep stocked in your literacy centers! It’s low prep and students LOVE it! I love it too for the additional fine motor practice it allows! The words are the first 25 High-Frequency Words by Fountas and Pinnell) To get started: *Print and copy the pages you’d like to use *Place them in a bin with scissors, a glue sticks, and several child friendly magazines, catalogs, or advertisements for students to search for their words! *Let your students have at it!

They can also be used as flash cards (print 4 on 1 page), tracing cards with a dry-erase marker, with wikki sticks, dot-paints. Could also make TACTILE cards by gluing colored sand on the letters and children can finger trace the words... Heaps of uses for these!
