RAY PRICE ~ Price, at first, was going to be a veterinanian. While working on his father's ranch, he would sing, and soon began singing at different functions. In 1953, he formed a band, called it "Cherokee Cowboys". Among of it's members during the 50's & 60's were ~ Roger Miller, Willie Nelson, Johnny Paycheck, and several others. Price became one of the stalwart's of honky-tonk in the '50's, with hits "Talk To Your Heart," and "Release Me."
There are thousands of singers, but only one Ray Price. He's not a singer, he's beyond that, he's a stylist. No one will ever match his amazing talent. Yes, I am a big fan of Ray Price, as you can tell.
