This is something I did in my classroom this year when I was talking to my preschool class about how we are all different, yet the same. It is a wall display of the children in my preschool classroom. The children were asked to search for their own eyes and when the parents came in later that day, I asked them to find their child's eyes too!

Just trace and cut from magazines, create your own mural. I love all the colors. No link for this but I love anything with kids hands.

Kindergarten class photo collage of their potential professions. Beginning of year poster? LOVE THIS!!

Mother's Day card-Trace hands to form heart shape when unfolded. Glue onto solid background. "I hold you in my heart" "Here's my heart" "I give you my heart" "Your heart is in all you do for me"

When students ask a question no one in the class knows (including myself), they can put it up on the Google Board. Students can bring back a written answer to one of the questions of their choice each week for extra credit, or whatever incentive you choose. They get really excited when a question comes up that they can put on the board and find out the answer to later...

For my new teacher friends..this is gold. Do this technique for any procedure, it works! The best "how to" from Fred Jones on establishing rules , procedures and standards in your classroom!

Shape mobile - patterns and shape each student create a string of patterned shapes to add to a group mobile hanging above their table group.

Use Wordle for class list and then frame to display... This would be a cute sign on the door for back to school night :)
