English Robin. 'This was the tamest bird I have ever seen. It was bitterly cold and I'm sure he/she was hungry but it was on my shoulder, on my head, in my camera bag. No need for a telephoto lens here, this was taken with my macro lens. It stayed with me for about 20 minutes and I ended up going back to the car to get my sandwiches and feeding him out of my hand. He made my day." - photo & text by G. Killon, via Flickr

Red Shouldered Hawk - I have seen them grab squirrels and morning doves drawn to bird feeders.

The Ornate Hawk-Eagle (Spizaetus ornatus) is a bird of prey from the tropical Americas. Like all eagles, it is in the family Accipitridae. This species is notable for its vivid colors, which differ markedly between adult and immature birds. (photo by andre baertschi)
