HMS Repulse - she and her sister Renown together with HMS Hood (which shipped an additional 15 in turret) were the only battlecruisers remaining in Royal Navy service by WW2. Repulse was never significantly modernised, unlike Renown, and was famously sunk by Japanese aircraft on 10 December 1941 as part of the ill fated Force Z.
