There is a lot of pressure to have 'perfect' kids... must remember this in the future. :)

    • Lucy Derstine

Well said! Our kids need a little freedom to make mistakes & learn from them! You cannot force Godliness-

    • Jose Bracero

Thank the Lord that it is never to late to be a godly parent to your children.

    • Miss Smiley

For the future! Good thought and principle to live by.

    • Sursum Corda ...

A great reminder: both that we can't give what we ain't got, and that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Being aware of how God parents US is a crucial first step. We must see ourselves as children of God, and as our kids' enablers in helping them learn who they are in Him- their different temperaments and gifts, etc. can only be truly fulfilled through, with, and in Christ as He loves us all into being. "Growing up" means growing into something (or Someone) big enough in the first place.

This spoke to me, louder than anything with the same information in a different format. I thank my lucky stars I have the good fortune to be able to read; buy a coffee because I feel like it, maybe even a muffin; to wake up with a roof over my head and a full stomach; to not feel hunger, pain or poverty. It scares me to think about the billions of people who are less fortunate than I,

So true! I really try to think about things before I say them.....

Due to some recent issues with long time friends-or so I thought they were, someone gave me this quote to cheer me up...and tell me what a true friend really is...thanks!!

It takes everything but later on in life you look back and see how much it was worth it ☺️

SO true! I have been truly blessed to have had the summer to spend with my grandbabies...God is GREAT!!!

This is so true and probably one of my biggest pet peeves.

i want to put this on my bathroom mirror, or somewhere i will always see it just in case i have one of those days

    Lauren Conrad: love this quote.

Listen! ~~~Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, "This is the way; walk in it." (Isaiah 30:21)

I'm afraid it's easier said than done, but nonetheless a powerful quote to think about...we would be happier if we only could move on but I wouldn't be where I am today without the past.
