Win. The only way I cook asparagus now. I season with garlic and salt. 8 minutes give or take depending on thickness of the stalks. For thin stalks: Lay in single layer on sprayed cookie sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and season to taste. Bake at 450 for 6-7 minutes.

When I discovered roasting them I was amazed at how it changed the taste from simply being steamed or sauteed. Awesome oven grilled asparagus. Cover a pan with foil. Wash and trim asparagus. Line them up on the cookie sheet and spray with olive oil. Sprinkle with black pepper, salt, 2 cloves minced garlic and a little lemon juice. Broil 3-4 min. Turn and broil 3 more minutes or till done. Would also be good with a little grated parmesan cheese too I think.
