We investigated if that DIY trick of cleaning your toilet with coke actually. Turns out, if you try to clean your toilet with coke, it will leave a gross brown stain that you will have to flush down several times and scrub with regular toilet cleaner to get off.
No Scrub Toilet Bowl Cleaner. Punch a hole in the top of a bottle of vinegar and sit the bottle in your toilet tank. In doing this you will save water, as the tank wont fill as much, the vinegar will clean your toilet AND tank on each flush, it leaves the bathroom smelling fresh and it doesn't harm any component of your toilet OR the environment when flushed. Every couple of months sprinkle a mixture of baking soda and a tablespoon of your favorite fabric softener over your mattress, let it sit for an hour, and then vacuum it up. Gets rid of dust mites and freshens up the mattress. Keep that same mixture in a small mason jar with holes poked in the top in your linen or clothes closet to keep it smelling fresh!
