Concrete leaf castings. Painted black and rubbed with powdered metallic powdered pigments (the type often used in Sculpey jewelry projects). We used the Pearl Ex powdered pigment series, and we find silver, gold, bronze, blues, greens, and purples work much better than the pastel colors. Larger leaves may need to be reinforced with chicken wire.
Copper kills slugs where as salt only dehydrates them, but they continue to live....Penny Ball for the garden. Pennies in the garden repel slugs and make hydrangeas blue. I love this idea.
