August- December 192 AD Inscribed on the obverse is AEL AVREL COMM AVG P FEL around the head of Commodus portrayed as Hercules wearing the Nemean lion skin headdress. On the reverse is inscribed HERCVLI ROMANO AVG (‘to the August Roman Hercules’)  around Hercules’ club flanked by his bow and quiver.
