Feeding new moms... good tips. Avoid: garlic, spicy, beans, sausage or other potentially gas or tummy troubles-creating foods (might not bother her but could cause colic which is the closest thing to hell on earth). Things that can be frozen or double as healthy breakfast/snacks like fruit, yogurt, muffins, nuts & ham are great! If you give a new mom some soup, she'll want some bread to go with it...which will make her feel unbalanced so she'll want some fruit, which will remind her of dessert, so you'll also include some yummy muffins. But you'll leave out the extra sweetness so she has some left for breakfast! :) Wrap a little present of "If you give a mouse a cookie" as a gift for the babe. Adorable!

Transition from food to food so there is a just noticeable difference between foods offered to the toddler (e.g. square cheese, then round cheese, then round cracker, etc.)
