I HAVE to do this! Love the texture of embroidery & I live in a lavender destination called "Sequim, WA"

This is an image from Elmsley Rose's blog, but after posting this (in 2008-2009?) she moved the blog to a new address, and I can't find this image anymore. I assume it is a Jacobean stumpwork or her version of one. The blog is worth reading, though. She shares her "adventures" in embroidery.

Jane Nicholas OAM has been researching and working in the field of stumpwork for over 20 years. Stumpwork is the name given to a style of raised and padded embroidery, originating in England in the second half of the seventeenth century. Jane is recognised internationally as being at the forefront of modern designers interpreting this form of raised embroidery.
