Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell - I started out unsure if I liked Rowell’s writing. But now that I’m done, I totally want to read Carry On, Simon and be Cath’s best friend. Even though she’s 18. And fictional.

"Fangirl", a novel by author Rainbow Rowell is the story of a girl who enjoys writing fan fiction. As this young adult novel is a popular book from 2013, it is an excellent example of the fascination with fan fiction and its growing prominence in today's culture.

The Red Queen - Just finished this one. Ever since The Other Boleyn Girl I'm such a sucker for Philippa Gregory's historical fiction.

The One and Only Ivan - This one is next on our family read list...I have high hopes because the cover is cute.

When You Reach Me - I just finished reading this with my daughter. A little confusing to wrap your mind around, but everything is pulled together at the end and now I want to re-read it knowing what I know.
