Pho Ingredients:1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into chunks, 2 cloves garlic, minced,1 tbsp minced fresh ginger,1 tbsp sesame oil,1/4th tsp salt,6 cups chicken broth,1 jalapeno thinly sliced,3 green onions sliced,2 tbsp soy sauce,1 tbsp rice vinegar,2 baby bok choy chopped, 5 oz chinese noodles,sriracha sauce for serving,chopped cilantro
Made this tonight- it's not as authentic as a good Pho restaurant, but a flavorful homemade option. I used thai rice noodles instead, and celery instead of bok choy since I didn't have any bok choy at home. Still good. I also used a serrano instead of a jalapeno, which just meant I didn't need as much sriracha.
Chicken Pho. I followed this recipe except I only used about 1.5 diced up chicken breasts and I added in 2 thinly sliced fresh mushrooms. When it was done we added sriracha, bean sprouts, and cilantro to the top. I also used a slightly thinner rice noodle and it was perfect. We will definitely be making this again soon!
First I enjoyed a bowl of this at Bam Bu a local Vietnamese restaurant. Then I used this recipe & made a pot at home......as close as it could possibly be except I had to omit the "coagulated pork blood" due to the last of stock at my local mega mart. haha
