      DIY Roller Shades. After doing some window treatment research, I am appalled at how much custom roller shades cost. This is a great alternative. The actual roller blind kit is available at our local home depot for about $9. Can't wait to try this project

    custom roller shades. This is a fabulous idea. You are completely dismantling a store bought shade and making a new one out of medium weight fabric. But I'm wondering if you could take a lightweight fabric and fuse it to the existing shade. Would be alot easier.
