old house with a soul. reminds me a little of Minnesota. I'm gonna miss that old house!

I'll have a big house in the country with many acres of rolling hills, woods and creeks. I'll have a little shack like this one that I'll fix up and be a little kid again.

Kelton House, in Hartville Missouri, built in 1895 by Moses Kelton, features an interesting combination of Victorian styles. It has an almost mansard style roofline (circa 1850–1870), with exaggerated pointed gables more commonly seen on Gothic Revival Victorians (circa 1840-1890). Ultimately that combination of disparate styles, along with the asymmetrical shape of the house, and the fact that it was constructed in 1895 almost certainly mark it as a freewheeling Queen Anne. It's a fun design!
