    Homemade finger paints...kind of a tricky recipe. You have to get the measurements JUST right or it will be too thick or too watery. Also, you have to ad a TON of food coloring. Ruby still liked it, and if you don't have any finger paint, its a cheap way to get some fast!

    Homemade finger paint. Simple ingredients and quick to make. I made a double batch of these last week. Best diy kid project so far. Stored them in squeeze bottle from Wal Mart's candy making section. Wilson cake food colors makes for vibrant, beautiful paint. Rally and Morgan love it!

    Cook your own homemade FINGER paint! 1/2 cup cornstarch ■ 3 Tbsp. sugar ■ 1/2 tsp. salt ■ 2 cups cold water ■ food coloring

    Homemade edible finger paint * 2 cups of corn corn starch * 1 cup of cold water * 4.5 cups of boiling water * Liquid food coloring If the paint remains liquid and doesn't thicken up simply add up to 1 more cup of cornstarch.

    Heat 2 cups water in a saucepan and add 1/2 cup corn starch, 1/2 tsp salt and 3 tbsp sugar. Stir till mixture thickens. Allow to cool. Pour into jars and tint with desired dye. You might want to start with less corn starch. I made this and found it a little too goopy. I thinned it with some extra water.
