    Suminagashi is an ancient Japanese technique for decorating paper with inks

    Forget the kids - I want to do this! How cool! Tutorial... -- this is way cool. My niece and I did it together and it's REALLY fun, and rather therapeutic.

    What a fun rainy day activity!! On a tray, place a pile of baking soda. Mix vinegar + a few drops of food coloring in a cup. Give the kids an eyedropper. Have them fill it with vinegar, squeeze onto the baking soda and watch mini volcanoes erupt!
