Reading flappers. I feel as if there was a whole genre of pinup art that featured a girl dressed conservatively and reading a book with her skirt hiked up. I kind of appreciate it, oddly.

Frances Charlotte Greenwood (1890-1977) was an American actress and dancer. Greenwood starred in vaudeville, on Broadway and in movies and radio. Standing around six feet tall, she was best known for her long legs and high kicks. She earned the unique praise of being, in her words, "the only woman in the world who could kick a giraffe in the eye."
