These bookshelves were built by the guy who lived in the loft before us. They're actually really oddly shaped and sized (some cubbies are deeper or wider or taller than others) but that only adds to the charm.

We made the lamp using a DIY tutorial from the amazing lighting designer Lindsey Adelman. I think it's so great that she shares her designs with people, and it's how I feel about sharing my knowledge about dyeing in my workshops, tutorials and in my new book

Cozy living room. Think I'd like for my hermit room to be white with pinks and grays and a lovely knitted blanket.

love this shelving, couch and concrete tile floors. that border collie is pretty cute too.

Best aardig, maar erg jammef van de primitieve manier om een leewin neer te zetten. Getuigd niet van beschaving!!!

Reminds me of why Belle was my favorite Disney princess. Because she had that awesome library with a rolling ladder! You need a ladder for this one. And I love that all the cubbies are different sizes.

This dining table has been with us from our first month in Chicago. We got it at a yard sale for $100 and have moved it into 3 apartments since, even though it weighs a TON. Most days we share breakfast, lunch and dinner at this table so it's become a big part of our lives.
