A Cob and Straw Bale Natural Home in Somerset, England 9K+ This stunningly beautiful tiny home with sculpted cob walls looks out over the banks of a small stream in Somerset, England

This beautiful cob home [more pictures here] sits on the banks of a small stream in Somerset, England. Recently the little stream became a torrent that almost burst its bank, a close call for one of the most artistic natural homes in the world. It's the work of Lisa and Rich who built the house with clay from the stream and roundwood Pine and Hawthorne thinned from the local woodlands. The roof is tiled with cedar shingles and the walls are straw bale.

Miniature House, gorgeous -- desperately wish I knew more about this! Where is it? Looks like it could be a cobb house, which would be the coolest thing ever.

Wondering about cob vs earthship. I suppose the food growing would be one major difference, but what else? I've seen a lot of great cob living spaces...

Bij Kitengela Glass, even buiten Nairobi, maken de glaskunstenaars prachtige voorwerpen. Om naar te kijken, om uit te drinken, om een bloem in te zetten. Een kunstenaarskolonie in een Efteling-achtige setting. Inspirerend!!

This is a look I would love to emulate in my future natural home. I immediately think of wind or water swept canyon walls and the wood adds great definition to the curves.

tiny cob house - if we had the space, a small backyard house would be so awesome for guest or privacy space.
