the first "erotic" novel I had read was about liberation, I too would have my quests for that elusive unicorn, the zipless fuck. Elle has a whole list of steamy books that were taboo for their time, I'm a little surprised to admit to myself how many of them i have read but then I remember being quite young and seeking out books that had sex in them, there was always a draw, it's a bonus when they are well written and have a true story line...but there were times I just read for the steamy bits.
