Origami Paper Flower Garden by Anouk Vogel (folded a thousand origami flowers for world peace)

  • Brooke Miller

According to ancient Japanese legend, anyone who folds a thousand origami cranes is granted a wish by a crane, such as long life or recovery from illness. Inspired by this legend, Swiss designer and landscape architect Anouk Vogel folded a thousand origami flowers with a wish for world peace. Commissioned by the Gardening World Cup, Vogel's serene white garden features delicate paper flowers "blooming" on a circular bed.
