Cook ground beef with taco seasoning. Add 4 oz cream cheese. Blend well. Set aside and allow to fully cool. Cook the pasta shells. Pour salsa in the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish. Stuff each shell with the meat mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Sprinkle crushed chips and shredded cheese on top. Cook for about 15 more minutes.
These are so tasty! My whole family loves them. I like to use the Stand and Fill taco shells. Tipping tacos is no fun! Also I get an aluminum casserole dish from the dollar store cause they are kind of messy. Use it and toss it. Found this recipe at www.http://blogchef.net/baked-tacos-recipe/
Mexican Stuffed Shells: "Mexican stuffed shells are a hit in our house and on my blog," Maeghan L. of The Way to His Heart told us. "So many have come back and told me how they were a little afraid of the combination of Mexican and Italian but fell in love with it. It's a great way to change things up a bit when your typical dinner ideas get old. This is a hit with young children as well!" Source: The Way to His Heart
pesto stuffed shells **Update - Made these and they are YUMMY! Added spinach to the ricotta filling and my non-veggie-eating husband even went back for Brought leftovers to work - someone asked where I went out to dinner. Definitely a keeper.
