Kombucha tea.. I need to learn how to make this so I can stop spending $3.50 on a bottle everyday!

    Just buy a bottle (organic, live unflavored), pour it into a gallon jug (glass or ceramic) and let it sit for one week. It will grow a scoby aka mushroom. Then brew a gallon of organic black or green tea, and add one cup organic sugar. Once it is cool, add it to your scoby jug. Cover with cheesecloth for 6 days to 2 weeks. You can then bottle it in swing tops with about one ounce of organic fruit juice for a second fermentation that will make it super effervescent. Namaste!
