He can be viewed as a role model for the students and assure the students that he made many mistakes ( a lot of trial and error). Let the students know that people can make mistakes. Using a famous role model is extremely helpful. A reading strategy that can be used is a quick write. Students can write down a short paragraph about a famous mathematician.
