This is so impressive. The first time I tried this pose, I could barely lift my leg and straighten my back. But every time I try, I get a little closer. The other week, my instructor helped me lift my leg that final, tiny bit. I begged for mercy because I thought I was going to tip over! This pose is strength AND balance. :)
AI stretching does what stretching is supposed to do; it transports oxygen to sore muscles and quickly removes toxins so recovery is faster. It also works as a deep massage technique because it activates muscle fibres during the actual stretch. Hold each stretch for 2 seconds.
