Circus Elephants When we were young the Billy Smarts Circus would bring the Circus to Hove by train, then walk the Elephants holding each others tails to the park where the Circus would take place, it was such a colourful event, I can remember watching the clowns and pretty ladies it seemed so perfect, as childhood memories do.I found this photo amongst a lot of old ones belonging to my parents.

My favorite memory of the circus was buying peanuts to feed the elephants. I don't think you can do this anymore, sad. But then, it might have been injurious to them to eat so many peanuts.
