Gut Symmetries - Jeannette Winterson instant reblog.
“I cannot assume you will understand me. It is just as likely that as I invent what I want to say, you will invent what you want to hear. Some story we must have. Stray words on crumpled paper. A weak signal into the outer space of each other. The probability of seperate worlds meeting is very small. The lure is immense. We send starships. We fall in love” ― Jeanette Winterson, Gut Symmetries

BOOK REVIEW: ‘WRITTEN ON THE BODY’ BY JEANETTE WINTERSON
Written on the body. Great book to read
"Why is the measure of love...loss?" I've loved all of Jeanette Winterson's novels, but this is the one that started it all. I felt every single word, like a fist around my heart. --Written On The Body by Jeanette Winterson.

Of Mice and Men, John Steinbeck | one of my all-time favorite books
OfMiceAndMen by John Steinbeck. Just finished reading this...a work of great sensitivity.
Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck is a brilliant novella of two migrant workers in California during the Great Depression. Their unlikely friendship, which began by chance and was sustained by mutual hope, was ultimately tested by unthinkable tragedy. (If you had to read it in high school, read it again from an adult perspective! It's such a good read!)

"The moon. Her nocturnal predominance: her luminary reflection: her potency over effluent & refluent waters: her power to enamour, to mortify, to invest with beauty, to render insane, to incite: the tranquil inscrutability of her visage: her dominant resplendent propinquity: her omens of tempest & of calm: the stimulation of her light, her motion & her presence: the admonition of her craters, her arid seas, her splendour, when visible: her attraction, when invisible.” ― James Joyce, Ulysses
