Diversity: Every person that you encounter is unique to our world. This is true in our classrooms. Each child comes form a different family, in a different background, and have different beliefs. All of that is okay! Everyone is allowed to be different and should be accepted for being their self.

"strength lies in differences, not in similarities" .. All Toronto Public Library staff are attending Diversity Training so this seems timely and true as well.

Diversity is a place where people are recognized as in this together; apart of the human experience. I'd love to join a community where everybody is valuable and welcomed with open arms. Hoping in a change that could happen by being that change empowers me to keep living an example. A welcoming sign for beyond tolerance satisfies my purpose to give up my preconceived prejudices for a happier heart. I keep on myself concerning having an open mind.
