Russian Tea: 1 cup instant tea with lemon, 2 cups instant orange drink mix (Tang), 2 cups white sugar, 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon, 1/2 teasppon ground cloves. Pour all ingredients into large mixing bowl and stir well. Pour into sealed container. Use 3-4 spoonfuls for one regular sized mug of hot water. I loved this stuff growing up!
from Emeril Lagasse - 1 C butter, room temp; 2 tsp vanilla; 1 C sifted confectioners’ sugar; 2 C flour; ¼ tsp salt; 1 C fine chop pecans - Oven 325°. Cream butter. Add vanilla. Gradually add ½ C sugar, beat til fluffy. Sift flour, measure, sift again w/salt and gradually add to mix. Add nuts & mix. Shape in 1” balls & place 2” apart on ungreased sheet. Flatten slightly w/bottom of glass. Bake 20 mins, til edges very lightly brown. Remove, roll in sugar while hot. Cool. Roll again in sugar
