Summer Sisters by Judy Blume. A story of two friends who grow up together and the paths that each of their lives take, with and without their best friend. I have read this book upwards of 20 times. And each time I read it there is always something new I can relate to in the character's lives.

I do this all the time, especially when I'm in used bookstores. It's one of my reasons for refusing to get a Kindle.

Read it because I had to, but I am glad that I did. Covers race relations in the mid1900s in the deep south.
