Malurus splendens, Splendid Fairy-Wren, Western Australia These little fairy-wrens live in family groups where the individuals depend on each other. Each individual is specialised in one form of search for food - in shrubs, in the open, in taller plants. When they pull through, they cover a larger area, often 5-8 individuals spreading out.

Fairy Wren. Usually birds scare the crap out of me but this bird is so tiny. The coloring is beautiful.
