Crate seats...use plastic crates purchased from your local walmart, plywood cut to fit the top, foam, fabric and a staple gun. What a cute idea for a child's room or a classroom reading corner. The "seats" can lift off so you can use the crates for storage. This may be my first official diy project! I WILL make seats for the top of our (toy) crates! --a day in the life of miss kranz: summer time and the livin' is easy. aka too many DIY projects later...
Considering making some of these...they'd be functional seating AND storage...a teacher's dream. On this blog the teacher got the crates, ply wood, stuffing, fabric, and ribbon. She then took the fabric wrapped it around the ply wood, stuffed it, then stapled it. To help open and close the lids she stapled a ribbon loop so she could pop the top off of them.
