According to one pinner: Holy Cow!!! This stuff is AWESOME!!! I only made 1/2 as much (I didn't have as much lemonade as I thought, oops). I will not be buying dishwasher soap ever again!!!! My tupperware looks brand new again!
I might try this since I am trying to save money by not buying diswashing detergent. I hate washing dishes!
1 cup Borax 1 cup Baking Soda ******changed to washing soda and have better results 1/2 cup Coarse Salt 1/2 cup citric acid (I actually used 15 packets of unsweetened lemon kool-aid- it was easier to find!) Mix all ingredients in a container. Use 1 tbs per load.
This works great, I used the citric acid in my mix because i dont use any artificial ingredients. I found it at Wally Mart by the canning supplies for $2.95. I did add some Organic white vinegar to the rinse dispenser to help with some of the spots. I am pinning to save $$ because she has SO many great ideas on how to save you money but also clean your house green! GREAT BLOG!
1 Cup of Borax (Target and Walmart do carry this!) "1 Cup Baking Soda (I used Washing Soda) 1/2 Cup Kosher Salt 1/2 Cup Citric Acid (You can purchase "Fresh Fruit" in the canning isle.)" Then don't forget to add vinegar to the rinse aid section Mix all ingredients in a container and voila! dshwasher detergent!
Homemade Dishwasher Detergent...already had the salt, borax and super washing soda on hand, so after buying the Kool-Aid, I spent under $1. Dumped a splash of white vinegar in the bottom of my dishwasher. After trying it for the first time last night, I'm happy to say my dishes came out as clean as they do with Palmolive!
