Oreo Balls. Classic. Using a food processor, grind 1 lb Oreo cookies (3 sleeves) to a fine powder. With a mixer, blend cookie powder, 8 oz. cream cheese (room temperature), and 1/2 tsp. of vanilla extract until thoroughly mixed (there should be no white traces of cream cheese). Roll into small balls and place on wax-lined cookie sheet. Refrigerate for 45 minutes. Melt 1 lb. of milk/white chocolate (whichever you prefer. i use white chocolate for dipping). Dip balls and coat thoroughly. With a spoon, lift balls out of chocolate and let excess chocolate drip off. Place on wax-paper-lined cookie sheet. If you want to add a little more look to them, melt milk chocolate (if you used white chocolate for dipping) or vice versa, use a fork to drizzle chocolate over the balls. Let them cool. They are also better when refrigerated.
