Take your boots off at the door please. This would be a great way to give your hubby or kids a place to sit and take off their boots, shoes etc and have a place to store there stuff and not track it through the house... just love this idea **** Love the rustic wood and look

Foyer - Teal paint juices up an old hall tree. Hooks, shelves, and baskets are ideal for corralling beach essentials. door with seat storage....don't forget to look for benches that can be repurposed for this. I just got a door and a piano bench that is going to work great...sides of bench will be cupboard doors cut down.

Industrial Console Table from Home Decorators, Manning Lamp from Crate and Barrel, Large Curved Basket from West Elm, Hutton Sofa in Vance Cloud from Room and Board

Beautiful, easy, and functional. A shelf with baskets, a row of hooks, and a bench. All you need is one wall by the front door. Love this.

DIY Hall Tree Bench for the entryway or mudroom. Exactly what I want in my new place. Now I need someone to help me build it....

Look at what you can make with a door, a cabinet, and some hooks. You could find a 30” wide door and 30” wide cabinet at a home improvement store, attach them, trim them with baseboard, then prime and paint them both. The mirror and cushioned seat are an added bonus. What a marvelous hall tree for a foyer or narrow wall space. This is another fabulous DIY project.

Good entry way idea! I love having the entry way with our bench.

ME: Mud room - i like! THEM: Because orange can be too intense on its own, Berman added blue accents in the mudroom. "It's such a welcoming color. Orange feels like a younger, fresher version of red," she says. "But it can be a hot color, and I needed a little bit of cool as balance, to cut through the heat."
