Exceptionally Rare CDV of Alexander Gardner, legendary photographer who early on was a key member of Mathew Brady's Studio. Gardner quickly became Lincoln's favorite photographer and took the first official Presidential portraits of Lincoln upon his arrival in Washington. Gardner later started his own Studio, which he photographed the President with his son, Tad and the famous cracked plate image that showed the close up of Lincoln's face & his drastic aging in just four short years.
