Old gates can be used inside the home for baby gate or dog gates! What a great idea, and it looks so much nicer! LOVE this.

From the previous pinster: "See these gates? Use them to keep your dogs in or out of a room -- looks so much better than a baby gate! Lowes has them in different widths and heights :) Great idea!" One way to keep my dogs from rushing the front door when I'm trying to answer it. Currently I leave the dogs barking at the door while I open the garage and go out that way. @Krista McNamara McNamara Aziz

Looks so much better than a baby gate! Lowes has them in different widths and heights. Would make a snazzy dog gate too!

Pretty wrought iron gates from Lowes! Use them to keep your dogs in or out of a room -- looks so much better than a baby gate! They are available in different widths and heights and not very expensive

A secured-to-the-wall half door instead of a wedged in baby gate. Interesting. Bonus is that it doesn't have to be permanent if you don't want it to be...unscrew it, patch things up. Voila!

Such an interesting colour on the cabinets, and I like how the stools tuck in under the island. (Unfortunately, it doesn't click back to what it's supposed to.)
