Again, this was designed for a mudroom but I can see it being used in the day care room.

Mud room. Kids wash their hands before they come in for dinner and being out.

I keep seeing these multli-closet mudrooms and liking them; they keep it clean, and whereas I don't see myself wanting to open a cupboard door to put away a coat, it's somehow easier to imagine everyone putting away their junk in a closet...of course, I have a coat closet but most of the time my coat goes on a kitchen chair because I'm too lazy to open the closet, so maybe not.

Organize the Entryway Keeping the entryway organized will result in fewer lost mittens, forgotten mail, and misplaced keys. Whether you live in a house or an apartment, a systematic entryway will keep things neat and save you time.

Would love to build something like this. Actual closet space for ugly stuff plus some open storage and a seat between.

Back wall of garage before enter the house? Simple built-ins to create a mudroom or storage anywhere from a kids room to a laundry room by adding shelves or a deeper bench for sitting. Or instead of custom, buy two thrify store bookcases and paint them, bolt them to your wall and add wainscotting between them. Then pick up a thift store bench and cut it to fit. Add the hooks and you're set.

Great mud room... check out the built-in shoe storage and hooks for coats and backpacks... jealous!

with the amount of babies I want, I have a feeling something like this will be necessary!
