Postage Stamp. Late 1800's quilt top newly hand quilted by 92 year old Opal Baum of OKC. From the collection of Dorothy Greenfeather. 72" x 82"
nine patch string blocks-good for busting out the scraps from old quilts
A steric quilt squares. I love the collected look of the fabrics from the same color family. This quilt looks like a great stash buster.
good old classic combination of nine-patch and snowball. Looks completely different with the placement of lights in the corners with the nine-patches
That is a lot of very small double 9-patches. Squares in the 9-patch appear to finish 1" - even with a lot of chain piecing that is a boatload of work.
Swoon-along with I'm A Ginger Monkey.
I don't want to! You know how I hated making that block...but my aunt wants me to make a Swoon quilt for my uncle. And he's pretty much the bee's knees, so I should just do it, right?
4x5 bee blocks - I love this pattern! wonder what it would look like without the strips?
1870 postage stamp quilt- beautiful & proof that OCD is not a new disorder!
How is this pieced together? My guess is that the narrow bias strips between the blocks is hiding raw edges. Love!
Simple but lovely with vintage-ish prints. nine patch with binding by penelope waits, via Flickr
What a cute idea for a memory #quilt - filmstrips with photo blocks across the quilt. This might be a great idea for the Harry Potter quilt or Doctor Who quilt I would like to make.
