    I've used this tip several times. Trace the outer edges of your frames onto craft paper or paper grocery sacks. Cut the paper to size. Arrange on the wall to see if you like the placement, before ever tapping in a nail. If you mark the placement of the hangers on the paper before taping up, you can also use that as a guide for where to put the hangers in.
